THE MISTBACK'S FIELD GUIDE

From cloud to root.

1. Gather. Pale mist pearls settle on seven blue bumps. Each bump holds up to five water units.

2. Tip. Tilt the shell left for the fern or right for the cactus. Beads of three or more let go and roll downhill. Use arrow keys to steer, or use the direction buttons to set a steady angle.

3. Shed. Space or Shed releases even the smallest beads. It recharges in 1.5 seconds. Use it when the mist runs out.

4. Balance. Give both plants their marked water. Extra water overflows. Mist is finite; water that misses a pot is lost. A stronger breeze makes later gardens trickier.

↓ levels the shell; P pauses. Restart is always available. Both roots full earns a leaf; losing at most a quarter of the mist earns gold. A completed garden unlocks the next. Progress saves locally.

Recent cactus-inspired water-harvesting research inspired the theme. These are playful rules, not a model of beetle biology or water-collection efficiency.
